Professor Addresses Psychiatric Drugs

David B. Baker, professor of psychology, is The Margaret Clark Morgan Director of the Archives of the History of American Physchology at the University of Akron. He is co-author of the book From Séance to Science: A History of the Profession of Psychology in America. He comments on the effectiveness and safety of psychiatric drugs and new psychological studies on Stephen J. Dubner’s Freakonomics Web site.
The Archives of the History of American Psychology at the University of Akron directorship endowment was established in 2007 by a grant of over $2 million from The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation.
