Grant Deadlines

We have two grant cycles per year, Spring (June decisions) and Fall (November decisions).

A one-page letter of inquiry must be submitted and accepted before any grant proposal is reviewed.

The letters of inquiry phase for the spring 2014 cycle is CLOSED.

The deadline for letters of inquiry for the fall 2014 cycle is May 1, 2014.

Arts Resources

The following list of resources may be helpful for those in the arts community. Our goal in arts grantmaking is to encourage and support the general public’s growing awareness of and engagement in the arts in Summit County. We are open to all art forms, from visual to performance art and beyond. Arts initiatives that receive grants must have a component that is open to the public, such as a performance or gallery show. In order to focus the available arts funds, we do not ordinarily make grants for endowments or capital funding. We prefer to fund operations and projects.

Akron Area Arts Alliance

The Akron Area Arts Alliance (AAAA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 advocacy organization promoting arts and cultural activities in Summit, Portage and Medina Counties

Ohio Arts Council

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically. With funds from the Ohio Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the OAC provides financial assistance to artists and arts organizations.
